A garden in the heart of Silicon Valley, carrying iconic trees of the region. Oak live oaks are predominant of the setting creating a dry, shade woodland garden. To promote the health of these oaks was our challenge.
After
We brought this landscape back to life. Replaced the traditional lawn for a CA Native one that requires less watering and tolerates half shade. Created a Native CA garden under the Oaks adding some color to the dry shady area, and most importantly preserved the oaks for years to come.
